Introducing INVEX Workflow: Automated Notifications for Metal ERP Users

Dallas, TX – INVEX, the cloud-based enterprise software purpose-built for metal service centers, processors, distributors, and tube mills, now includes INVEX Workflow, a rules-based notification engine that turns everyday ERP events into instant, actionable alerts, fully integrated within the INVEX product suite.

INVEX Workflow triggers email notifications the moment business-critical data changes, without relying on user observations or actions.

From Manual Monitoring to Automatic Alerts

Metal service centers manage a constant stream of moving parts: credit holds, buy-out purchase orders that require review, stock-outs,order changes,  and shipment exceptions. Historically, catching these events meant someone actively monitoring for these cases and manual communication. INVEX Workflow removes that dependency by monitoring ERP data in real time and firing a notification the instant a user-defined condition is met.

Each workflow is built from three components:

Conditions. Rules can be built field-by-field — Field, Operator, Type, Value — covering text, number, and date comparisons, or written directly as a SQL-style query for more advanced logic.

Actions. Once a condition is met, an email is sent to one or more recipients, addressed in To or Cc, using a reusable template.

Templates. Templates support dynamic variables pulled directly from INVEX data, so each notification arrives with order and transaction-specific detail rather than generic text.

Because every field within a module is dynamic, users can create, update, or modify conditions and templates themselves as business needs change, with no development work required.

For metal service centers managing credit, inventory, production, and shipping across multiple locations, the result is fewer missed events and faster responses. Monitoring comes off the to-do list, and the teams closest to the work can adjust their own rules as the business changes. INVEX Workflow is included as part of INVEX ERP.
