INVEX Metal ERP – Announcing New Mill Toll Processing Features for Flat Rolled Service Centers

Dallas, TX – Invera, a leading provider of metal industry ERP software, announces upcoming enhancements to its Mill Toll functionality, available in INVEX 5.0. These enhancements will provide metal service centers and toll processors with greater control over mill-owned inventory, production recording, and shipping operations.

Together, they will improve inventory visibility, customer order tracking, and operational efficiency. In addition, the INVEX Toll EDI applications have also been enhanced to include a number of these new features to further automate mill EDI requirements.

Improved Mill-Owned Inventory Tracking

INVEX now provides enhanced tracking of mill-owned material designated for processing or storage. Additional toll reference information, including Customer PO, Customer Order Number/Item, and End User PO, can be maintained at the inventory tag and toll order levels.

Toll reference information can be automatically populated on inventory tags from incoming electronic shipment notices (EDI). These references are also searchable within INVEX inventory inquiry applications.

Greater Control Over Toll Operations

New configuration options give toll processors greater flexibility in managing customer-owned material. Users can control inventory hold/release and reapplication permissions, manage customer tag numbering, and support pre-assigned finished tag numbers and customer shipment references.

These enhancements help maintain inventory accuracy while accommodating different mill processing and storage requirements.

Enhanced Production and Scrap Recording

INVEX now supports recording up to 10 scrap detail entries by recording type, including condition codes, piece counts, weights, and remarks.

Operators can also record the actual scale weight of consumed coils during production, with INVEX automatically generating the corresponding inventory adjustment. This reduces manual work and improves material tracking accuracy.

Improved Shipping and Inventory Reporting

Toll processors can now maintain SCAC codes for freight companies not registered as vendors, allowing the codes to be included in outbound Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs).

Enhanced acknowledgments, packing lists, and toll invoices include additional customer order references, improving shipment traceability.

The updated Warehouse Storage Report allows users to select multiple warehouses and inventory types, distinguish between processing and storage material, and view total inventory tag counts.

Streamlining Mill Toll Operations

With these enhancements, INVEX helps metal service centers and toll processors improve inventory visibility, simplify production recording, and maintain accurate customer and shipment information.

By integrating these capabilities into a single metal-specific ERP platform, INVEX supports more efficient management of mill-owned material from receipt through processing and shipment.
